IT Buyer (Job # 2616)
JOB TITLE SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Procurement, the IT Buyer is responsible for facilitating the timely processing of technology (hardware and software) maintenance and support. These responsibilities may include obtaining supplier price quotations and negotiating competitive bids, creating purchase requisitions, processing purchase orders, assisting with invoice problem resolution, etc. Performs other duties and special projects as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
o Coordinates with end-users and suppliers to validate inventory lists of computer hardware and software products that require maintenance & support; obtains competitive supplier quotations; and reports on the status of pending critical purchases to assure managements awareness of any possible delays, etc.
o Assists internal users to ensure the timely processing of purchase orders for required technology maintenance and support services.
o Enters all IT contracts and pricing agreements into Corporate Procurements contract database in an accurate and timely fashion.
o Maintains a professional relationship with internal customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
o Understands the required commitment to customer service as it relates to procurement in the corporate environment.
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our client has a need in their Legal Department for an energetic, highly motivated, self-starter to provide competent and professional contract administration support. Under general supervision, the Contracts Administrator will be responsible for providing cradle-to-grave government and commercial contract negotiation and administration services for assigned proposals and contractual agreements consistent, as well as, for assuring company's compliance with customer contractual requirements. This also includes the responsibility for implementing company's contracting policies and procedures and the interpretation and implementation of current government acquisition regulations and policies. Other essential functions include, but are not limited to:
Review complex RFPs, RFQs and proposals to ensure accuracy with contracting requirements, and developing appropriate risk mitigation terms.
Conduct negotiations with clients, administer contracts and subcontracts, and provide assistance to business unit research and project support personnel to ensure company and clients meet obligations fully and in a timely manner.
Interpret FAR clauses, government acquisition processes, internet based procurement procedures and compliance with associated prime and subcontract agreements.
Conduct export compliance review for EAR and ITAR restrictions and assist business units with export compliance efforts.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
BS/BA in Business or related field and/or equivalent.
5 years of increasingly complex responsibilities and experience in contracts environment required.
Knowledge of FAR clauses, government acquisition processes, internet based procurement procedures and compliance is required.
US citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance highly desirable.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, problem solving ability and good work habits required.

As the Purchasing Manager, you will build a supply chain to meet our clients future needs in addition to fulfilling current needs.
To accomplish this you will have:
Expertise in material fabrication techniques including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, spinning, casting, hydro-forming, heat treating, brazing, plating, polishing and electro-polishing of stainless steel, copper and aluminum parts.
Knowledge of equipment capability and process controls appropriate to the above fabrication processes in order to identify potential suppliers having the ability to cost effectively produce conforming parts in support of current needs and projected growth in the business.
Expertise in best practices in sourcing including JIT, Kan Bans, supplier contracts and negotiation, Vendor Managed Inventory, Design For Manufacturability in support of new product development, estimating, Demand Flow Technology and the use of time fences to minimize inventory exposure, supplier certification, ISO 9000. Experience with ERP/MRP systems with ability to improve their operational efficiencies. Need to have the ability to develop and implement these practices with cross-functional peers.

Our client is experiencing an increase in activity which necessitates a need for a contract Buyer Planner to handle the increased workload.
You will quote and procure Electrical, Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical items required to support the goals of the organization utilizing an in-depth knowledge of ERP systems. You will also review MRP daily requirements and take a necessary action. Additionally you responsibilities are supporting Flow Manufacturing in a Lean Six Sigma environment, maintaining the accuracy of Purchase Order due dates and communicating any deviation in Purchase Order due dates to Production Control.
To qualify for this position you will possess 5 years experience and a proven track record in purchasing Electro-Mechanical items in a fast paced organization. Oracle experience is a must. APICS or CPM certification is a plus.

Additionally you will have working knowledge of EAM, CMMS or ERP systems preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with all vendors and all levels of staff (both technical and commercially orientated) are a given.
