Planning Supervisor - Job #2654
Summary:
This position is responsible for establishing, leading and developing the Planning team, systems and processes required for full integration of operational plans required to meet customer requirements and divisional revenue goals. Identify and address gaps between forecasts and capacity. Analyze actual vs. planned performance and recommend work around strategies. Manage & track performance vs. revenue plan. Plan and coordinate all requirements necessary to build products using MRP generated data. Manually plan all key material needs when product configuration (Bill of Materials) is not available.
Responsibilities include:
• Acting as a senior representative in managing the next level of Production planner(s).
• Acting as a team leader in improving manufacturing operations by training and directing the concepts and application of Lean Manufacturing to next level of buyer/planner.
• Establishing & maintaining "rules" for prioritization of and resource allocation to RMA's, Engineering projects/builds, fixture/test equipment builds and other non-recurring activities.
• Creating work order schedules from the manufacturing plan/forecast.
• Interfacing with production management to obtain completion of production schedule.
• Writing work orders and coordinating kitting and material replenishment activities and priorities with the inventory control group.
• Monitoring customer orders for product type and accessory demand to insure on time delivery.
• Monitoring actual monthly shipment forecast against monthly shipment plan; communicate and address potential risks and issues. Recommend adjustments and activities required to meet revenue plan.
• Resolving any work order or other shop floor control planning issues that are escalated by assembly leads in the product family.
• Notifying SQE/ME's of any (Bill of Materials) quality or drawing related issues effecting supply chain and provide follow up as required.
• Working with ME flatting the levels of BOMs to fit the lean manufacturing process and identify back flush control to relief point of use inventory.
• Reviewing Kanban requirements for accuracy of quantity level and correct point of consumption.
Qualifications include:
A Bachelors degree with 7-10 years of experience specifically 7-10 years of Master Scheduling/Planning experience and at least 2 years as a supervisor or manager

Pay Rate: $37.00 - $45.00 per hour
Purchasing Specialist - FILLED
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the sourcing of goods and services in an efficient and effective manner and in compliance with company policies, procedures and guidelines.
Your Primary Responsibilities are:
• Request quotations, price, delivery and other relevant information.
• Negotiate commercial conditions and create related purchase orders and contracts.
• Co-sign, and place purchase orders and contracts.
• Obtain a high level of quality, safety, environmental protection and customer service from all vendors and contractors.
• Provide vendors precise, authorized information to obtain their best value proposition and ensure confidentiality of information, avoiding unauthorized disclosures.
• Create and maintain complete and accurate records of all transactions.
• Facilitate audits and controls and cooperate with management and legal authorities on any review of activities.
• Expedite delivery of materials, services and documents as needed.
• Independently analyze spend, obtain market intelligence, and submit proposals for reducing cost and increase value.
• Appraise, select and recommend vendors and contractors for approval and manage the relationship.
• Initiate and manage claims against vendors and contractors for contract compliance and recovering losses.
• Share information across the Procurement group and with other IPA Management.
• Recommend measures for improvement in the procurement process.
To be considered for this position you will have 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a power generation or heavy industrial environment. A BS in business or engineering preferred. CPM certification is a plus.
Additionally you will have working knowledge of EAM, CMMS or ERP systems preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with all vendors and all levels of staff (both technical and commercially – orientated) are a given.
Buyer Planner - FILLED
Our client is experiencing an increase in activity which necessitates a need for a contract Buyer Planner to handle the increased workload.
You will quote and procure Electrical, Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical items required to support the goals of the organization utilizing an in-depth knowledge of ERP systems. You will also review MRP daily requirements and take a necessary action. Additionally you responsibilities are supporting Flow Manufacturing in a Lean Six Sigma environment, maintaining the accuracy of Purchase Order due dates and communicating any deviation in Purchase Order due dates to Production Control.
To qualify for this position you will possess 5 years experience and a proven track record in purchasing Electro-Mechanical items in a fast paced organization. Oracle experience is a must. APICS or CPM certification is a plus.
